As you can see from my (lack of) post history, I never really got into blogging. I never thought of myself as a writer and never knew what to write about. It didn’t feel like I had anything valuable or unique to say. Recently I read a suggestion to treat your blog as notes for your future self. When you figure something out, write a short blog post with instructions so if you need to do it again, you have a reference. If it benefits someone else, that’s a great bonus!

That’s the approach I’m going to take. Short, simple, random notes to myself.

For the tech stack I wanted something simple and easy to use. My main site uses Astro, so I’m using that to generate the blog from Markdown files which I’ll use Obsidian to manage. I’m hoping this’ll make it easy to paste images.
